That she’s going off and talking about “blood libel” without having ANY idea of what that implies (or, worse yet, knowing full well what it means) goes beyond disgusting.
According to what I’ve read today, it wasn’t even her original thought. It’s a Right-wing “talking point” put out by several others in the last couple of days.
It did amaze, and stun me, that with all the tragedy, the story was about her — according to her. Yeah, she had a right to defend herself from media criticism — but she just couldn’t leave it there. She just had to continue talking…

Be fair- the media dragged her name into it before she said a word.

I stand by my cartoon. Her gun-filled rhetoric and gun sight targets came back and bit her on the butt. It’s not just this one instance.

With time and experience, she might hope to achieve a dim understanding of the words that leave her mouth. Love the cartoon.

Thanks, bloggertobenamedlater! I feel particularly vindicated in this by Jon Stewart in his piece about Palin’s “interview” with Sean Hannity:
“You have become a lightning rod less for your clarity of vision, but more for your ability to turn any criticism of you of into persecution of you.”
