Unfortunately very true. Until it hits home for some of these people they will never take action. Of course they have their body guards etc. So it is not likely they will ever be victims.
Shortly after the Oklahoma City bombing I heard a radio story about the possibility of putting chemical tags in the type of fertilizer that was used to build the bomb. The tags would have made it easier to trace the source if it were used as a bomb. The NRA opposed, and opposes, the tags, saying they’re a form of federal weapon registration.
In that context this cartoon seems less like satire and more like sad reality.
