I find Cruz so physically repugnant, I welcome him dropping out. But the thought of bloviating Trump inching closer to commander-in-chief terrifies me. And he’s not exactly an Adonis, either.
He chose to abort rather than carry it to full convention. Personally, I am glad he dropped out and hopes he goes back to his real job. But I would hope he would resign as one of my senators from Texas! I wonder if the Senate is glad to have have back? Doubtful!!!!!
Andy Borowitz (whom I love) at the Borowitz Report says the Senate is in mourning over Cruz’ imminent return. And here in Texas we have Dan Patrick, Ken “Under Two Indictments and Counting” Paxton and any number of batshit crazy politicos, like Louie Gohmert. Cruz barely stands out, I’m afraid. Here in Gillespie County there’s a nasty fight between Doug Miller (R) the incumbent state rep. and Kyle Biedermann (R) the challenger. And Samantha Bee is Canadian. When she turns her incredibly smart and withering criticism toward Trump I bet he thinks he’s been focused on the wrong border.
