Trump commenting on the death of journalist Cokie Roberts, who died today from breast cancer complications:
“I never met her,” Trump told reporters traveling with him on Air Force One. “She never treated me nicely. But I would like to wish her family well. She was a professional, and I respect professionals. I respect you guys a lot, you people a lot. She was a real professional. Never treated me well, but I certainly respect her as a professional.”
T isn’t fit to shine Cokie’s shoes.
RIP wonderful Cokie.

tRump isn’t fit to even be saying her name… I will miss her insights soooo much. She was truly a warrior for equality, democracy and integrity. We are seriously short on those kinds of folks. 😦

I doubt she ever treated ANYONE badly. What a jerk he is.

She didn’t praise him. That’s all that matters to him and his big fat ego.

That’s what I was thinking as I read his comment. Cokie Roberts was always straight in both her reporting and her comments on discussion shows. But, yes, unless he’s praised he apparently is never treated fairly.

And, as it turns out, he DID meet her and was interviewed by her in the late 1990’s. So much for “the best memory” of this very stable genius.

Ha. I figured he had met her at some point.

And now she’s not even thinking of him anymore. A great woman, a great person.

I was sad when Cokie Roberts stopped giving her thoughtful, objective, intelligent analyses of the news every Monday morning. She will be missed.
That’s more than I can say for the guy who’s trying to make himself the subject of the news of her passing.
