From The Washington Post:
The Trump campaign Wednesday circulated a memo written by Trump pollster John McLaughlin to campaign aide Jason Miller.
“Voters are opposed to impeachment and Big Tech censorship, and they want an orderly transition,” McLaughlin wrote. “Voters strongly prefer that Congress deal with fighting coronavirus and not impeachment. Impeachment is viewed as a waste of time and money.”
My take: The Hell they do. Where have they been since the Nov. 3 election? Denying the seriousness of the coronavirus and Biden’s win.
Speaking after McGovern, Rep. Tom Cole (R-Okla.) questioned why the House is rapidly moving forward with an impeachment resolution only one week before the end of Trump’s term.
“I can think of nothing that would cause further division more than the path the majority is now taking,” Cole said. “Rather than looking ahead to a new administration, the majority is again seeking to settle scores against the old one.”
My take: The armed insurrection was all about settling old scores. And the GOP has refused to recognize that Biden was legitimately elected. The gall of these people is just incredible. Now the Democrats are supposed to smooth over any “division” among the populace. That’s not their job right now, sport.
